I had dreams, like everyone else. Some are falling behind.

There comes a time, though, when one turns around and says "if you don't do it now, when?" and you see retirement approaching, old age. But I know that until it’s my last moment, I can do whatever I want.

So, this year I would like to make reality this literary and musical project, which is divided into two parts:

From Kenya to Canada, (€ 20). The first book with OS (Original soundtrack) of a story told in songs composed in the decade of 1975 to 1985 and which I have linked in a text that has finally been transformed into a small novel that can be cataloged for teens. It consists of 13 chapters, one for each song, and in each you will find the lyrics and QR to listen to the related music. A new way of living a book. Read and listen. Listen and remember. Designed to encourage young people to read. (Remember a book, listening to its music).
"A biology student hangs up her career to get a pilot card in Sabadell and thus be able to access to find work in exotic countries. First she participates in a small project in Kenya and then she is hired by a dangerous communications company in Canada. Her dream is to live in a cabin by a lake in the Rockies."

Take a risk. CD (10 €) of songs written i the same decade. There is Bossa nova, jazz, ballads. Various topics, as I liked to tell stories with songs and I am deeply attracted to the universe of vagabonds, of bohemian, fighting people. It's quiet, relaxing music.

I have been composing songs since I was 14 years old. So what I needed to see them more dressed, on the one hand, I found in the figure of Valentí Adell (teacher of the Taller de Músics), to make the CD. He is the one who has transformed my subjects into art, and on the other hand, the music that tells the story of the book kept in my neurons, has been arranged and recorded at Ememrecords in Sabadell, with Manuel Requena.

Why do I do this at Verkami? Because it’s a platform that I like how it manages the ideas that come to it. I also like the issues they deal with. I do this to see if I can reach the audience and share emotions, and of course, to try to get financial compensation to help me with project expenses.

To the right of this writing you will find the offers. I can’t provide a wide range. I have made some copies of the CD Arrisca't (at 10 € / each) and I hope that I will soon publish the book From Kenya to Canada (at 20 € / each), which I will send to some center, library or shop, for you to go pick it up. I also have the opportunity to receive small unselfish contributions, which will help me achieve the goal.

Calendar

CD Baby, the music distributor, has received recordings of the songs, but because of the pandemic, things are lagging behind. So when it’s all tied up, I’ll be able to make an accurate schedule, but keep in mind that deliveries will be made by the end of October.
