Cultural Association Espai Viu Sant Pere

The Cultural Association Espai Viu Sant Pere was born with the intention of opening a cultural space in the district of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and La Ribera (Born), in the heart of the city of Barcelona.

We are in the street Portal Nou and we want to offer a place that serves as a meeting point for the neighbors of the neighborhood and other nearby neighborhoods through different activities such as exhibitions, talks, workshops of leisure and knowledge, personal growth and well-being or resources and crafts (photography, dance, yoga, meditation, pilates, capoeira, reiki, jewelry making, among others that we will agree with partners).

Everyone who becomes a partner can enjoy the activities that are offered in space.

We, the creatives of this project, live in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona for 15 years and during that time we have been able to see the transformations through which it has passed. Sometimes these changes have brought positive changes and, in others times, negative changes for their neighbors. Especially in recent years have come to our neighborhood the phenomena such as gentrification or mass tourism, which among many other problems entail the loss of services for its residents and the homogenization of the cultural and leisure offer, often redirected to the tourists. The neighborhoods are losing life, each time with less places for the interrelation and the enjoyment of the people who inhabit them.

The Cultural Association Espai Viu Sant Pere was born with the willingness and the enthusiasm to contribute our small grain of sand in the fight against the loss of spaces for the inhabitants of the neighborhood and to continue maintaining it with a rich cultural and associative life.

About the rewards

We offer rewards of various types, according to the economic contribution. Invitation to the event of the inauguration of the place, free membership fee for a year, which gives the right to access to the activities carried out in the space; workshops and free activities of jewelry, yoga or capoeira or some other to choose; cession of space for half a day or for a day.

Where will we direct your contributions

To finance the technical requirements necessary to obtain the license to open the place, to adapt the space and to purchase basic materials needed for the start of workshops and activities.

The calendar

The opening of the place is scheduled for June 2019.
