ABOUT OUR PROJECT
A forest hut usually has its origins in protecting anyone located in the surroundings, from an external danger, normally due to weather conditions. Therefore, its main duty is to be used as a shelter from natural hazards. However it has been long since man is the gravest threat to man.
Film Genre: Thriller
Length: 20 minutes
In the middle of an uninviting forest, only an ancient hut remains as a sign of human life.
Inside, and old man called Nestor is getting ready for the arrival of the next assailant... however this time will be different. He doesn´t want to continue fighting.
Yet only one thought invades his mind. Will the assailant be able to escape from this cursed forest?
BAUMA is a short film that wants to display how little we know about our environment, and therefore we commit the same mistakes.
This is BAUMA´s main frame as a short film settled in a magic, and at the same time hostile forest, whose secrets will slowly unfold while our characters, blinded by the thrive to survive become their true menace.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of ESCAC former classmates that once graduated are looking for our own space in which we can honestly and genuinely convey our voice, interests and concerns.
BAUMA represents for all of us an opportunity to work in what we are passionate about.

CONTRIBUTIONS AIMED AT.
The culture and creative economy are one of the sectors most at risk from the COVID-19 crisis, especially independent audiovisual productions. That is why we want to bring the spectator closer to our project, engaging the audience in the creative process. Your donations will be used for filming expenses. Given the shooting is placed in El Berguedà most of the costs are accommodation, allowances, material and transportation.
The filming is planned between the 21 to 26 of February 2021. Once we finish, we will start the post-production phase which will take around three months.
The rewards, both physical and digital, are to be delivered in September.
The short film aims at Film festivals and therefore can be watched in the mentioned festivals, or, after a short period of time in the video streaming platforms.
