Who I am
My name is Adriano Tortora and I am the leader of the Adriano Tortora Trio. My band plays totally original contemporary jazz music, you can listen to my first album Choret to get an idea!
Adriano Tortora Trio continues its journey with its second album: "Galatea" (!!)
A great emotion and a great desire to present you a project full of surprises and fantastic soloists.
This album is meant to be listened to like a book, from beginning to end, and tells of the highly contrasting times in which we live. Yes, an era of great uncertainty and bloody wars that surround us, but also full of beauty and valid reasons to be lived.
Tension and resolution, the cadences... life and our era can be summed up in this concept.
The new album “Galatea”
Galatea is my second album and I particularly care about how it was made.
I collected 10 new and old compositions that I hadn't recorded yet and decided to record them.
My trio plays completely original compositions. For this album I chose musicians who could really add personal elements to my music. David Gadea, the percussionist, has really managed to enhance my compositions by giving everyone great musical moments full of taste and technique. Inside the disc you will also find two songs with guitarist Santi Pelaez, two songs with saxophonist Javier Vercher and a song with cellist Marc Bullon. Incredible musicians who made this album full of particularities by highlighting the individual characteristics of each of us.
Where do the funds raised go?
The funds that I will be able to reach thanks to this crowdfunding are intended for me as an artist. As you know by now all the albums are self-financed and we remain simple artists often with not so high economic capacities (to put it mildly). Here is the idea of Verkami, I would like you to help me financially in this job and offer you my music in exchange.

On February 8th there will be the official release of the album on all platforms, until that day there will be a pre-sale of my music.
