This group was born in June 2012. Before, they had created other flamenco projects.
The influences of the founders (guitar and cajon) of this small group, are coming from other styles such as jazz music and classical music. After a few days, a violin was added in the band, bringing celtic, traditional folk and classical sounds too, creating new bold sounds and more variety of tones with this small and great instrument. Two months later, we incorporated the double bass in most part influenced by jazz, expanding and creating fresh sounds.
Following its focus as the flamenco tradition mixed with touches of classic and modern rhythms, with some role of improvisation from jazz. The repertoire is based on original compositions and also refreshing Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Camarón de la Isla, among others. All arrangements are made by ourselves. Some "palos" (styles) that we are doing are tangos, bulerías, alegrías, among others.
We are preparing our first album, where will be our compositions only.
It's a recipe that, some times, breaks the normal structures and forms
creating new and cool sounds, with energy and elegance.
This Catalan band is located in the Barcelona's zone.
