Festival de Jazz Manouche Django L'H

Fourth edition of Django L’H Festival dedicated to Gipsy Jazz, a style of jazz borned in the early 30s in France. Virtuoso guitar player Django Reinhardt is it’s most important figure.

OUR PROJECT

We’re a group of Gipsy Jazz lovers who try to keep alive the spirit of Django Reinhardt by doing the Festival each year.

This Festival is the first and the only one in Spain exclusively dedicated to Gipsy Jazz. The Festival occurs between the cities of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Some of the best musicians of the style has come to our last editions, including: Brady Winterstein Trio, Les Doights de l’Homme, Robin Nolan,...

This year we still believe in programming the best, that’s why Tchavolo Schmitt is visiting us, one of the most authentic guitar player, with huge personality, technique and powerful playing.

As always, we support and program local musicians to try to make the scene grow. This year we’ll have Pere Soto and his project Django’s Castle and Albert Bello & Oriol Saña - Experiment and their recreation of the great Quintette du Hot Club de France.

A part from the concerts, we’ll have masterclasses, talks, dance lessons, jam sessions…

For the very first time, this year we’ll raffle a Gipsy Guitar special edition from the Festival. A very special guitar made by Spanish luthier Gerónimo Mateos with a value of 2000€.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

With your participation, all gipsy jazz lovers will be a little happier. Your contribution, even if it’s a small one, will make possible the Festival and keep the best quality by programming the top musicians of the moment.

CONTRIBUTION DESTINATION

Your contributions will be used to cover all the expenses such as: technical needs, promotion, artist accommodation and trips, diets and the construction of the guitar of the festival.

Besides, the contributions will allow us to pay part of the production expenses like: promotion, trips, artist accomodation, special edition guitar construction, artists fee, among others.

CALENDAR

The Festival will take place between the 15th and the 17th november 2013, although during the week before we invite you to enjoy lots of activities related to Gipsy Jazz all over the town, just like: restaurants, markets, parks, squares, etc.

REWARDS

We have selected great rewards and we feel that they will please you. You’ll have the chance to get very exclusive and unique experiences as the guitar of the festival, a concert dinner in an amazing restaurant, tickets for the Tchavolo Schmitt concert, special gipsy picks, guitar strings, etc.
